LEGAL EXPERIENCE:

Litigation Attorney and Partner in the law firm of Nakles and Nakles since 1982.

Areas of speciality include Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation, Wills and Estate Practice, Education Law and Criminal Litigation.

Served as Assistant Public Defender of Westmoreland County, 1985-1987, a position involving extensive trial and appellate practice.

Pennsylvania Supreme Court; Pennsylvania Superior Court; Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court; United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals; United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania; Court of Common Pleas of Westmoreland County.

Also practices before the Court of Common Pleas of Indiana County, Somerset County, Allegheny County, Washington County, Bedford County and Cambria County.

Membership in this organization is the highest honor a trial lawyer in North America can attain. Each year, only 70 attorneys from the United States and Canada are inducted into the organization. In the year in which I was inducted only 8 lawyers from the entire state of Pennsylvania were also named. Currently, I am one of only two practicing attorneys in Westmoreland County to be a member of the College. The actual membership criteria for the American College of Trial Lawyers is stated as follows:
Membership is limited to only those trial lawyers who are unquestionably and eminently qualified, in addition to being regarded as the best in their state/province. Qualifications must include high ethical and moral standards, as well as excellent character.

Westmoreland Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Member, 1990 through the present.
Board of Governors 1992-1997.
The Academy is a select organization of attorneys who are invited to join. Membership is based upon recognition by their peers as the premier civil trial lawyers in Westmoreland County. I was the youngest person ever to be elected as a member of the Academy.
